The Black Diamond aerobatic team was an offshoot of Drakken International, a civilian US based contract air support company for the US military. The team flew four L-39 as formation aircraft and a pair of PLZ-Mielec-Lim-5/6 aircraft for their solos. Here are the Black Diamond solos in very close trail formation during the 2012 NAS Oceana Air Show. The pilots are Dale “Snort” Snodgrass in the lead and Mike “Buick” Eberhardt as his wingman.
